“The Trump campaign’s visit to our great city, in order to sow division, lies, and conspiracies, is the actual bad thing in Philadelphia.”

PHILADELPHIA— In advance of the Trump campaign’s planned press conference in Philadelphia, PFT President Jerry Jordan issued the following statement:

“The current occupant of the White House has led by lies, bullying, fear, racism, and hate. His absurd post-election approach is unsurprising yet nevertheless chilling. The fact that his campaign feels the need to bring in its top officials, who like the president himself, have zero credibility, to have a temper tantrum in the cradle of liberty, is just too on the nose. It’s what we’ve seen over the past four years.

“Fortunately, here in our beautiful city and phenomenal commonwealth, we’re counting every vote. No temper tantrum or dead of the night tweet will stop us. And when every vote is counted, we’ll be able to move forward as a nation under a Joe Biden Presidency, one aimed at healing this deeply broken nation.

“Our members have engaged in thousands of hours of election volunteer work and political engagement. They fanned the city and suburbs in the months and days leading up to the election, and our phone bank and mail operations were strong. Their voices, their votes, and their advocacy will be heard. We won’t be silenced by a misogynistic, racist, xenophobic bully who spews lies and leaves death and destruction in his wake.

“In the coming days, we will be engaged in efforts to mobilize to Count Every Vote.

“The Trump campaign’s visit to our great city, in order to sow division, lies, and conspiracies, is the actual bad thing in Philadelphia.”
